Enclosures
There are three main enclosures at the National Speedway Stadium for SGP, 2 seated, 1 standing. A brief description of what to expect is below:
South Stand
South Stand is a covered standing only area, situated on the back straight with excellent views of bends 2 and 3. For this reason, it not ideal for small children.
There are 2 accessible viewing platforms on the South Stand with accessible toilet facilities. If you require an accessible space, please contact the ticket office in advance.
North Grandstand
The permanent Grandstand is adjacent to the Start / finish. Featuring covered seating and accessible viewing platforms and accessible toilets. There is lift access to platforms from main reception. If you require an accessible space, please contact the ticket office in advance.
East Grandstand
This impressive temporary stand boasts spectacular views over the entire track with higher vantage points. For 2026, there will be a revised layout to the enclosure for food and drink. Owing to the nature of this stand being build specifically for the event, seats are accessible by staircase only and is not therefore wheelchair friendly.
Turnstile opening times each day
Turnstiles will open to ticket holders at 4:00pm on each day. Racing for both rounds will commence at 7pm. It is recommended to enter no later than 45 minutes prior to race start time.
Security
The safety and security of visitors attending the Manchester Speedway Grands Prix is of our highest priority. For that reason, please be patient and allow plenty of time to get into the stadium as bag searching and physical ticketing checks will be in operation. Our recommendation on bag size is the maximum of a small backpack no bigger than 45cm x 36cm x 20cm. To avoid delays and to ensure swift pass of security, please adhere to these maximum bag sizes and see below on prohibited items.
Anyone found in possession of an invalid ticket will be denied access to the stadium.
Programmes
Programmes can also be pre-purchased at the time of purchasing your ticket. If you've pre-purchased your programme, please provide your programme ticket for scanning at the collection points.
Planning for the elements
To ensure your visit is as enjoyable as possible, check the weather forecast regularly and prepare accordingly. As organisers, we’ll be doing the same. If the weather forecast is unpredictable, umbrellas are recommended to keep dry whilst waiting for racing. We do hope the British Summer will be at its glorious best and you will need to be packing a hat and sun screen!
