BELLE Vue fans are warmly invited to support the Steve Casey Memorial Meeting taking place at Buxton this Sunday (3pm).
Steve, whose riding career saw him line up for Ellesmere Port and Newport, was a much-loved figure at the National Speedway Stadium where he served as Presentation Manager before sadly passing away in January 2023 after a battle with cancer.
He also had extensive involvement in the Buxton backroom during their previous spell in the National Development League, with the Hi-Edge club having returned to racing in the third tier this year.
Sunday’s meeting will feature the richest prize in NDL racing and features 16 riders racing over a unique 25-race format, with several Belle Vue connections.
Former Colts team member Connor Coles, who has recently announced his retirement as he continues his recovery from life-threatening injuries in April, will be amongst the special guests with the meeting run in support of the Speedway Riders’ Benevolent Fund.
A collection will take place on the day whilst Carl Stonehewer will also be in attendance as he prepares for his upcoming Skinflint Rally journey to Nice.
Start time is 3pm on Sunday and it would be great to see plenty of Belle Vue representation at the event.
