“ONE LAST PUSH” FOR ACES

BELLE VUE boss Mark Lemon wants “one last push” from his side at King’s Lynn.

The ATPI Aces will complete their ROWE Motor Oil Premiership regular league campaign in Norfolk tonight.

They will become the first play-off-bound club to finish their fixtures but the league standings will still take some time to be finalised.

However Lemon isn’t worried over the outcome. He said: “Ultimately it doesn’t overly concern me where we finish in the table.

“Ipswich, Sheffield and Leicester will be in the play-offs alongside us. We’ll have to beat two of them over two legs to defend our league title, simple as that.

“The main thing for us is to maintain a good level of form and peak when it matters.

“The win at home to Sheffield was impressive and the riders are starting to show some form at the right time.

“It was important that the likes of Zach Cook, Norick Blodorn, Tate Zischke and Jake Mulford step it up and they are all doing that now.

“There’s no doubt it will be a tough final meeting at King’s Lynn. They have found some form and have our former rider Ben Cook at reserve which makes them very strong.

“It’s one last push for us. We won there at the start of the season in a cracking last heat decider. We’ll aim to do the same tonight.”
