BELLE Vue newcomer Ben Cook is the latest recipient of the coveted Australian Speedway Riders – Rider of the Year Award.
The trophy, dished out yearly Down Under, was presented to him at the final round of the 2024 Australian Speedway Championship in Gillman earlier this month.
The award is in recognition of the 26-year-old’s massive rate of improvement – domestically and internationally – over the last 12 months, including a superb sixth overall in the 2024 Aussie title.
Cook made his UK Premiership debut with the Peterborough Panthers in 2023 and quickly rose to be amongst their top performers in the latter half of the season.
