"BLOCKBUSTER" CLASH AHEAD!

BELLE VUE boss Mark Lemon believes it will be another “blockbuster” clash with Ipswich.

The ATPI Aces take on the high-flying Witches at the National Speedway Stadium on Monday night (7.30pm).

Ipswich are the only visiting side to have won in Manchester this season after a comfortable victory in the KO Cup back in March.

The clubs have delivered some epic encounters over the past few years and Lemon feels the same again is on the cards.

He said: “I expect it to be another blockbuster. So far Ipswich have proved to be the team to beat.

“It’s still in our minds that they comfortably overturned us in the KO Cup earlier in the season.

“The task is for us to maintain our unbeaten home league record. That won’t be easy. The Witches have recovered from their injury issues and look a very strong outfit again.

“However, I have faith in our boys to raise their game to resist the challenge.

“We certainly cannot afford to make a slow start like we did against the Stars. I feel that served as a good warning to all the boys that we will need to be much sharper from the off.

“One thing is for certain, we are in for another highly entertaining night at the National Speedway Stadium.

“We had the outstanding Premiership play-off semi-final with Ipswich in 2023 in Manchester.

“It’s always going to be a mouthwatering occasion with their top two Jason Doyle and Emil Sayfutdinov coming up against our on-form duo Brady Kurtz and Dan Bewley.

“The weather forecast is sensational, we have two great full strength teams and some of the best riders in the world. It will be unmissable.”
