ACES BOSS WARY OF LYNN BACKLASH

BELLE VUE boss Mark Lemon has warned his team to “beware” of a King’s Lynn backlash.

The ATPI Aces take on the Stars in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership at the National Speedway Stadium on Monday night (7.30pm).

It will be just seven days after Belle Vue snatched a last-gasp 46-44 win over their rivals, with Dan Bewley grabbing the victory on the finish line at the Adrian Flux Arena.

But Lemon believes that Lynn will be all-out to gain revenge in Manchester.

He said: “King's Lynn are a really good team and will pose a massive threat.

“They made a fantastic start to the season with two big wins over Oxford. Then we got the better of them on Monday night.

“I felt a bit sorry for them to be honest, they had a few bike problems and crashes that cost them big time in the early stages.

“But we always have to take those opportunities when we can.

“They may arrive in Manchester with a sense of injustice and they will be fired-up. I’ve warned the boys to beware of that backlash.

“Make no mistake, they are a strong and solid side from one to seven.”

Lemon is eager for his ATPI Aces to produce an all-round team performance.

He added: “We know what we get from our top two. I’m hoping for the other boys to settle in. Zach Cook produced a great win at King’s Lynn.

“It would be ideal if the younger element of the team can all get a few wins under their belts to build belief. But we are in for a competitive night.”
